Quick Setup

Get LostChurn running in 3 steps — from account creation to your first recovered payment.

This guide walks you through the complete setup process. Most teams are live in under 5 minutes.

Step 1: Create Your Account

Sign up at lostchurn.com/sign-up. You can use your email or sign in with Google.

After signing up, you'll land on the onboarding wizard which walks you through the remaining steps.

Step 2: Connect Stripe

Stripe is the fastest way to get started. One OAuth click and LostChurn automatically configures webhooks, permissions, and event routing.

  1. Click Connect Stripe in the onboarding wizard
  2. Authorize LostChurn via Stripe's OAuth flow
  3. Done -- LostChurn starts listening for failed payments immediately
Using a different processor?

LostChurn supports 13 payment processors including Braintree, Adyen, Recurly, Paddle, GoCardless, and more. Select your processor from the list in the onboarding wizard and follow the provider-specific instructions (typically entering API credentials and copying a webhook URL).

Step 3: Launch Recovery

Once your processor is connected, click Activate Recovery. LostChurn applies smart defaults that work well for most businesses out of the box:

You will also choose a campaign template to control how customer outreach works. Three built-in templates are available -- Gentle, Balanced, and Aggressive -- covering everything from premium B2B subscriptions to high-volume consumer plans. Pick the one that matches your brand, or build your own later in the Campaign Builder.

After activation, LostChurn begins:

  1. Listening for failed payment events from your processor
  2. Classifying each failure automatically
  3. Running silent retries at optimal times
  4. Escalating to your chosen campaign when retries are exhausted

You'll see your first recovery data in the Analytics Dashboard within hours of your first failed payment. You can fine-tune recovery settings at any time from Settings > Recovery based on your Analytics data.
